Laundry Room Refresh- $100 Room Challenge

$100 Room Challenge· Budget Decor· DIY

I am joining in on the fall edition of the $100 room challenge!

I love this challenge and have participated in the past. I did my hall closet, refreshed my garage floor, refreshed my master bedroom, and now my laundry room.

Let’s take a look back at what my laundry room looked like when we bought our home.

Before… so UGLY

I painted, changed out the light, made a counter, added a pallet wall, and upgraded the washer and dryer.

Laundry room, storage solutions
After…Rustic beauty

But…. the one thing I didn’t touch, the floor, and this is where this challenge is going to come in handy!! I’ve painted floors before, remember my office floor that I stenciled?

  • Office floor before
  • Office floor after
Painting floors breathes new life into a room without a renovation.

Except I’m going to take things up a notch with this inspiration.

I know this is real brick, but I’m going to make mine faux.

Laying a real brick floor would put me over the $100 budget, because I seriously doubt I can find thin brick pavers just laying around. I’m going to do the next best thing, I’m going to stencil them!!

I know this project, just like any DIY project, will have its challenges. First of which being, I have a cracked tile.

There’s always a trouble maker in the bunch. 😉

I’m not going to let it deter me, because this floor is U-G-L-Y.

But don’t you worry, if this project doesn’t get you excited, there are a bunch more that may get your attention. Don’t forget to follow along with my blogger friends and their projects!!

Best,
Brooke

Things got pretty serious last week! Hard to belie Things got pretty serious last week! Hard to believe that we’re coming up on a year of when everything shut down. It gave Court and I a chance to really talk about what we wanted for our future. One of them, to live next to water. The beach was out of the question because, well, it’s ridiculously expensive. The week of Thanksgiving we stumbled upon this development and the rest is history. We wouldn’t have even considered it a year ago because of the girls school. Of course all that changed too with them doing the online school. It’s crazy to think what we could be missing out on simply because we’re not considering other options because they don’t fall within our norms.

Sooooo, I washed my Ruggable rugs and now I feel like I can give my full review. I’ve seen so many people ask about these rugs and didn’t feel like I could give an opinion, until now. If you take a gander at the blog (which leads me back to the doing the thing you’ve been putting off- like dealing with the icky back end blog stuff- I digress) I give my full honest review. 😉 Now go do all the things you’ve been putting off, trust me. 🙌🏽
