Laundry Room Refresh- $100 Room Challenge

I am joining in on the fall edition of the $100 room challenge!

I love this challenge and have participated in the past. I did my hall closet, refreshed my garage floor, refreshed my master bedroom, and now my laundry room.

Let’s take a look back at what my laundry room looked like when we bought our home.

Before… so UGLY

I painted, changed out the light, made a counter, added a pallet wall, and upgraded the washer and dryer.

Laundry room, storage solutions
After…Rustic beauty

But…. the one thing I didn’t touch, the floor, and this is where this challenge is going to come in handy!! I’ve painted floors before, remember my office floor that I stenciled?

Except I’m going to take things up a notch with this inspiration.

I know this is real brick, but I’m going to make mine faux.

Laying a real brick floor would put me over the $100 budget, because I seriously doubt I can find thin brick pavers just laying around. I’m going to do the next best thing, I’m going to stencil them!!

I know this project, just like any DIY project, will have its challenges. First of which being, I have a cracked tile.

There’s always a trouble maker in the bunch. šŸ˜‰

I’m not going to let it deter me, because this floor is U-G-L-Y.

But don’t you worry, if this project doesn’t get you excited, there are a bunch more that may get your attention. Don’t forget to follow along with my blogger friends and their projects!!

Best,
Brooke

  1. Can’t wait to see this! I follow a girl on Instagram who just did a brick look stencil in her laundry room, and it looks amazing! Good luck!
