My 10th @havenconference is in the books and I am forever grateful for this time. Not only was I a mentor this year, but @romabio asked myself, Kristen @agirlandherglitter , and Shelley @shelleybateshome to help with their classes and we had a blast. On top of that, Court and I took our first trip together without kids to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. I learned, I laughed, I met some new faces, I squeezed tons of friends, and I woke up today ready to change how I’m doing things.

Happy Sweet 16 to Kelsey Gracyn. Our little gift from God who we were surprised to find out we were expecting when Kennedy was 8 months old 🫠 clearly she was perfectly timed because despite the chaos of raising two under 16 months old, I could not imagine her not being a part of our family. This past year the amount of growth, determination, dedication, and discipline she applied to nearly every facet of her life could put some adults to shame. (🙋🏻‍♀️) When faced with adversity, she lets her herself have her feelings, but then comes up with a game plan and fights hard to the end. While I call her my sour patch kid, truth be told she’s a better version of me. She has a huge heart, loves to give gifts, extremely talented, wicked smart, beautiful, and boy can this girl cook/ bake. Here’s to finally getting her license soon and much success for her junior year. 💕 love ya kiddo

Kennedy’s moody boho bedroom is done just in time for summer and the end of the @oneroomchallenge! Already she’s bought books to add to her collection and I’m just happy she still has enough room in her bookcase I built. I was afraid with picking such a dark color it would be a lot, but you can see we added enough lighting that it’s actually even better at night. We didn’t do anything over the top in this space, but the color drenching, the beautiful bedding and all the decor really add to the boho aesthetic. I have a major confession, I did not pay attention

I have a major confession, I did not pay attention to the dates of the @oneroomchallenge or the fact that they would happen during the busiest time of year for Kennedy. Major mom guilt kicked in and I’ve been focused on getting her room done and not much of anything else. I’ve had struggles and this past week my miter saw literally went up in smoke. 🫠 But I’m totally obsessed with her room color @behrpaint Beta Fish

It’s the 3rd week of the @oneroomchallenge and the first week I’ve posted about it because the last couple of weeks have been filled with college tours and behind the scenes stuff for Kennedy’s room. After 3 years of living in our home, Kennedy asked for one last room makeover before she graduates and this one has me all in my feels. Kelsey’s room is finally done! She wanted a preppy coastal room that was light, bright and minimalist and I think we achieved all of this! Blog post is up with all the deets.

Hanging these curtains were a bit of challenge thanks to the window trim. Kelsey only wanted sheer curtains to filter the light and because of the smaller space I opted for 2 panels instead of 4. I cannot wait to show you the rest of her room!
