It’s that time of year for the $100 Room Challenge!! You can see my past projects that I completed with my hall closet and master bedroom makeover. For the next few weeks, watch as fellow bloggers transform one space for $100 or less!

Join myself and other talented bloggers as we take on the $100 Room Challenge.

If you’ve been following me for a while now, you know that my number one nemesis in my home is the very space that is my second office; my garage. We have been on a steady purge and reorganizing frenzy for some time now. Our most recent organizing project in an awkward part of our garage, has proven to be quite valuable and jump started my need to keep this vibe going.

But no matter how organized the space becomes, the floor is just plain ugly. And let’s be honest, it’s TOTALLY my fault.

Exhibit A- Cabinet Refresh

Here you see splotches from the stain I used on this cabinet refresh.

Bless my husband who tries so hard not to cringe every time I go out to the garage to do a project. He knows the mess that will ensue and yet he lets me do my thing. That’s true love people. And while my garage floor is a scrapbook of projects past, it’s time to clean up my act. Or at least try to make me a little more conscious of what I’m doing.

The game plan

Remember a few months ago when I painted my office floor?

Painting the floor in my office made a huge impact!

While I’m not planning to stencil the floor, I am planning to paint it since like I said earlier, the garage is my satellite office. The trick however, is staying within the $100 budget and some kits I found cost more than that, until I found the Behr has their own garage floor paint.

Behr Concrete and Garage Paint in Slate Gray

The price is perfect for what I’m trying to do and the color couldn’t be more spot on. But first, let’s get a good look at the space in question.

Exhibit B: The garage

My garage floor has fallen victim to my DIY shenanigans.

Check back next week to see where we go from here!

Best,
Brooke

Anything to get ideas and inspiration on what we wanted in our own home. Believe it or not, we’ve moved 10 times. Of those 4 were homes we bought and one of them a home we built. Needless to say when we saw the online photos of our “hopeful” future home plan, we agreed we had at least one more move in us. What’s something you’re looking for in your next home?

One of my favorite things to do is take long walks through construction sites surrounded by plumbing and framing. No lie. This is where we’ve gone multiple evenings over the last couple of weeks. This place has brought us a lot of peace and on the blog I’m spilling the beans on our secret.

The tragic helicopter accident that took Kobe, his daughter, and their friends rocked me in a way I didn’t know it would. It was clear that y’all loved the bedroom renovations this year and our @wearewoodgrain accent wall was a huge crowd favorite. Kennedy’s diamond pattern wall is one of my most pinned on Pinterest to this day. I’m deep in planning mode for this year and can’t wait to bring more fun content. While this year was filled with so much uncertainty, I was still able to find some light and a more clear vision. (I’ve always said the best lessons come in the valleys of life.) I’ve spent the last few weeks with Court and the girls and I’ve come to some realizations that will change the vision I thought I had for the future. I thank you for being on this journey. I’m blown away by the people I’ve met online and in person from this community. The opportunities I’ve been blessed to experience. I pray that everyone has a safe night and we all wake up tomorrow with hope that the new year will bring more peace.
