**The Home Depot graciously provided me with products for this Style Challenge, but the work and opinions are my own. This post may also contain affiliate links, which cost you nothing extra, but will help me buy more candy for all the Trick-Or-Treater’s coming my way!**

If you’ve ever wanted to create a scary front porch this Halloween, boy do I have everything you’ll need to make that happen!!

The team at The Home Depot asked me to be a part of their Halloween and Harvest Style Challenge and let me just say it was an honor!

Needless to say the girls and Courtney had a huge hand in helping me with this project, but I think I scored some serious cool mom points with this one. Especially when the huge truck showed up at our house to deliver the Limited Edition Wind Dragon that The Home Depot sent us!

Delivery day!!!
Delivery day!!! The girls were both shocked and impressed!

And I had to get in on the action and show them that I too can be just as fierce.

The look the girls get when they don’t listen to me.

When it was time to head to The Home Depot to buy the rest of the spooky decor, I was happy to see how many great items they had to offer!!

We love how impressive the Limited Edition Wind Dragon looked on our porch!

If you want to see how it all turned out, you’ll have to head over to The Home Depot Blog and check it out the scary scene! Thank you again to The Home Depot for having me in this challenge, it was a blast!!

XOXO,

Brooke

Instagram post 2193080010342969376_17963546 I’m fairly certain the ceramic Christmas trees with the plastic colorful ornaments, would be the equivalent of Rae Dunn in the 70/80’s. Either you made one or we’re gifted one, but it seemed like everyone had one. I never did find mom’s, but when the girls pointed out the tiny ones, you better believe my heart did a happy dance. Today on the blog I’m sharing our fun and colorful living room.
Instagram post 2192539252041114477_17963546 I cannot wait to show you our living room all decked out for Christmas! 🎄We mixed it up from where we put the tree, to the colors, and it’s giving me a nostalgic feel. What’s your favorite childhood memory around the holidays?
Instagram post 2191802849103509097_17963546 I’m sort of glad Kelsey talked me into not putting doors under our sink just yet. It’s been fun to change out the curtain for the seasons. What’s something new you did with your Christmas decor? #sinkologyvibe
Instagram post 2190913546731277843_17963546 Christmas was my mom’s favorite holiday, which I’ve been dreading. Then we saw Frozen 2, twice (don’t judge) and the song “Next Right Thing,” ugh, right in the feels. We needed to decorate, if anything for my girls who want some sort of normalcy too. “When it’s clear that everything will never be the same again
Then I’ll make the choice
To hear that voice
And do the next right thing”
Instagram post 2189655229115611250_17963546 Im all about updating my Christmas decor, but this momma is on a budget. Would you believe that the pillow cover and pictures in the frames are actually gift bags? And the reindeer head is from my front yard? Do you have any other budget friendly decor ideas?
Instagram post 2187537564209222734_17963546 I’m not gonna lie, today felt like a day off with a lot of food and not really Thanksgiving. But we definitely made the best of it and made memories. Worked out, lots of food, naps, met up with friends, and even snuck in some shopping. I am so so thankful for this community and the friends I’ve made. Getting through the last few months was only made possible by my little family and friends like you. Thank you for lifting me up. Love to y’all!!
Instagram post 2185995560715205069_17963546 Apparently these kids can’t wait until Thursday to eat... rude😜. While I’m waiting for the fancy Mac n cheese to cook, I wanted to tell you I’m working on the kitchen final (ish) reveal. I also wanted to give a sneak peak at one of the design liberties I took. Can you guess what it is?? The final projects are a new cooktop and new counters, hopefully in the next year.
Instagram post 2185233146088269745_17963546 We should be getting ready to pack up and head to Ohio for Thanksgiving, but we’re not. My mom would tell me to save some room in our car so we can take Christmas presents back with us, but this won’t happen either. We’re starting a new chapter this holiday season we never expected. Today I’m sharing my thoughts on how to navigate moving forward and living through the holidays after loss.
