You guys!!!! I am so excited to announce that I have been selected to participate in the One Room Challenge through Jeffrey Court! I will be competing against 15 other bloggers and designers to transform a space of our choosing in just 6 weeks! I know, I’m crazy, but you guys wouldn’t expect anything else from me right??  First, lets take a look at the space that I’m doing!

It’s time for this old girl to get a refresh

Our master bathroom is seriously the last room in the house that hasn’t been touched and boy is she in desperate need of a makeover!  When the opportunity came up to be a part of the Jeffrey Court One Room Challenge, I threw my hat in the ring because I wanted the accountability that comes with this challenge. Six weeks folks, that’s all I have. SIX. WEEKS.

I mean she’s been this way for 16 years, it’s time and she knows it. As a matter of fact, shortly after I took the picture of the bathtub, I grabbed a corner of the tile on the ledge and it literally came off with my hands. Yes I workout, but I’m not THAT strong to be able to pull tile off of a fixture. Or am I….

I picked out my tile and while I was blown away by the selections, I couldn’t wait to see them in the flesh! Needless to say when the semi truck pulled up, I had to restrain myself so I didn’t scare poor Darryl.  Yep, I asked his name because any man who brings you an 800 lb load of tile and uses a dolly to drag it up your driveway, deserves a proper introduction. ANNNNDDDD It came with a pallet that I get to keep. (Yes I am THAT easy to please.)

Ugh, the floor again, so boring. Bye ugly tile!

Where do we go from here? Well, we have to talk about the inspiration. Truth be told, I’m a little all over the place with this one. Coming off of a million planks of shiplap, I wanted to steer clear of it and I honestly wanted to get away a bit from true farmhouse. I know, I’m just as shocked as you are. I’m going for a rustic, coastal, vintage, shabby chic vibe. It’s a lot I know, and I really couldn’t tie up the loose ends until I had the tile in front of my face because looking at it online and in person, is different for me.

First up, the inspiration:

A divider similar to this could hide the toilet without closing off the space.

I loved the first picture from Decor Pad because I’m not thrilled with the fact that the toilet is just hanging out in the open space and having a little ledge like this one could help with privacy.

I love the classic black, the wood tones, the lighting and the mirrors.

I mean how can I not reference the stylings of THE Joanna Gaines and this show stopper from Magnolia? Everything about this photo gave me feels.

Love the color of these cabinets!

And I couldn’t help but fall in love with the color of these cabinets and the sink from Farm House for Four.

Gahhhhhh, so much inspiration out there and my wheels are spinning! I know that I would love to bring in elements of copper, black, natural wood, blush, and even a peacock blue. So you can clearly see that I have more work cut out for me.

If you remember I asked you guys which tile I should pick and here is the winner!

This amazing tile from Jeffrey Court is going to completely transform my master bathroom!

I found some bathroom fixtures to bring the space to life and compliment the tile.

I just love all of these fixtures for our master bathroom!

Jar Light * Barn Light * Vintage Faucet * Farmhouse Faucet * Shower Head and Shower Knob

I also need to give a HUGE thanks to my friends at Ryobi for providing me with a wet saw and stand for this project!!

There you have it!!  Check back weekly and I’ll have updates and the judging actually starts on April 19th!
