This has been my third year attending the Haven Conference in Atlanta, GA and it sure did not disappoint. Every year that I have attended, I have been in a different season of my life. From deciding if I should take the leap, to have taken the leap only to focus on personal organizing, and to this year where I want to turn my focus to just the blog. (More on that at a later date.) Regardless of where I have been on my journey, I have walked away with new blogging friends, products from generous vendors, tons of information, and inspiration for days.
For as long as I can remember, we’ve always had at least two and a half bathrooms, but with the new house we have two full baths; one in the master and other in the main living space. The bath in the main living space is for the girls and any guests. It’s not a huge bathroom as it had a pedestal sink, single shower with no tub, and the toilet. The bathroom is functional and it’s enough, except there was very little storage in the bathroom. We didn’t necessarily need to gut the whole bathroom, but it did need some minor adjustments.
I talked about how we reprioritized our quest for a new house here, but what I didn’t tell you was that there was actually another house that we wanted prior to the one we bought here in South Carolina.
I hope that everyone has had a great summer! This was the first summer I have been off with the girls since I was on maternity leave with my youngest. Holy smokes did it fly by!! While I’ve focused my attention on those two nuggets, we were also getting ready to take a road trip, and I thought this would be the perfect time to talk about organizing your vehicle.
Not quite how you would expect a girl who talks about organization to start out a post. However, that’s how life can be sometimes, completely unexpected. Organization extends far beyond junk drawers and closets. Being more organized is a means to save yourself, and your loved ones, time. Less time wasted searching for things and more time spent doing the things that we love. We all say, “we just don’t have enough time”. When I’m looking at my doctor square in the face and she tells me “you’re obese”, immediately I thought, “there is no way that I have time to focus on that”, or did I?
One of the most asked questions I have received, has to do with that space under the sink, namely in the bathroom. So naturally after I tackled my closet and drawers, I kept the momentum going and moved on to the bathroom. Now let me first start by saying that I am horrible at remembering to catch the absolute before picture in most projects.
